The time cost of being truly politically informed is far too high. All I see are snippets and smear campaigns(How did these organizers get my cell number anyway? I never signed up for political text messages). Unless you are already in the government or a political journalist, the time sink is untenable. People have jobs, children, families, and friends. Why do politics have to be so messy and unclear? Why can’t a bill show clear cut intent in a 5-10 minute read? At the end of the day unless your job is politics, you must rely on a third party to summarize/aggregate information for you. But that means you rely on another person’s/entity’s interpretation, not the bill itself. If all you ever read is one entity’s interpretation, how could you determine if they are biased or not? You decide to look into the matter further, entity X is in contradiction with entity Y. Well now, what’s the actual truth? Only one way to find out, put the kids to bed, reading glasses on, and open that 211 page .pdf; it’s going to be a long night.
Politics are designed intentionally to be confusing, just like healthcare 🗡 🗡. Certain social aspects(need better word), religion, finance, and tax are mixed amongst the parties themselves in a manner which do not make logical sense. They are designed to charge and divide people. Some people vote with their heart and others vote with their head. Let’s remove this can of worms. Let me be clear, religion does not belong in politics (“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions.”)
I literally don’t care. I don’t understand how anyone cares. I don’t understand why it is a subject of discussion and why it’s wrapped into politics. Blows my mind. The Government’s job is to provide the tools and infrastructure for its people to live safely and succeed. This requires money. For a fee (taxes), the government build roads, schools, creates laws, enforces laws, protects us from foreign threats, helps its people during natural disasters, etc..., and it pays people to maintain these services and infrastructure. Without this overarching order, commerce would falter and there would be chaos. This is what I believe the government should be. How exactly, what happens between two consenting adults in their own bedroom got pulled into politics is completely beyond me. Imagine you are a farmer, what does it matter to you that John and Mike are sleeping together? How does that have ANY effect on you? How does that change YOUR life? Imagine you are lawyer, Heather and Cynthia have a romantic relationship. Does this effect your job? Does this effect your money? Does this effect anything that actually matters? No. Let them be. I mean this in the absolute nicest way possible. I am not for you and I am not against you. You exist. Who you love does not matter to me. You simply... are. What you do in your bedroom is between you and your partner; I literally don’t care... just pay your taxes. America, stop arguing over things which do not matter. Stop pulling divisive, non-fundamental subjects into politics. Think about what matters, food, gas, taxes, schools, roads, bridges, safety, a better life for your children, the things you encounter on a daily basis. Vote for what matters and ignore the noise designed to divide you.
Spicy. Let’s continue. If a child is brought into this world with a parent or parents that do not wish to have one, how likely is that child to have a good life? “Ruin” three lives or “save” two? Classic Trolley problem... The laws are nebulous; Doctors in certain states have their hands tied. There are MANY messy cases to consider, but I can think of one clean one. If both mother and father(paternity test) agree to terminate before viability(~6 months), it shall be Federally allowed. I acknowledge it’s extremely far from perfect, but it’s a stance and it’s clear. It’s far better than full outright bans and women dying.
LGBTQ and Evangelical voters are two large and important groups that I wanted to clearly and cleanly address early on. I will not pander to you. You have my stance and a copy of it, hold me to it. I’m tired of seeing these two groups used as a last minute bargaining chip. I’m no politician. Hate it or love it, at least you know where I stand.

With great power comes great responsibility. Call it cronyism/nepotism, the fact of the matter is that four years, at /this/ scale, is not a lot of time to accomplish anything. I hate commitment because if I commit to something; I make sure it is done right; I give it everything; I succeed. I /want/ the first four years, but I'm not ready to promise eight.
I have some very talented friends. Good Great friends. Spending my the first year, of my first term, analyzing and testing whom I can trust is a disservice to the American people. Maybe, I'll have four years and I want need a solid team from the start.
I don't have everything most lined up, but I've got a few:

Secret Service (Probably not the head of it, but close)

Treasurer (Not sure which department is the right fit, yet)

These are the things that I can think of off the top of my head. As I research further and as I learn more, I'm sure I can find the correct people to fill these further roles. I select them because I know them. I select them because I know their skills. Most of all, I select them because they will not fail.

Snowden. In my opinion, he is a patriot and he is a hero. If what I have seen is true, exposing mass(illegal) data collection and going against the US government is...incredible. We all have a right to privacy. We have an unalienable right to trust that a conversation(data) between two parties should remain between the two parties as long as neither party shares information with outsiders. Man-In-The-Middle (MITM) attacks/surveillance, by T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, Charter, etc... are unacceptable. I use this sparingly, but I want to clearly represent the severity. We pay you, monthly, for a service, and you sell our data. You sell information about every website we visit and who we call/text/email. We have a right to privacy. I should not say this; it is a bad idea, but I want the severity to hit; I pay you for a service and you sell my data. Fuck you. (Not very presidential of me, actually wait, maybe it is!? @#47) I will destroy data brokers; I will destroy their entire business model. I /think/ Snowden is a good guy and I think that he was on the correct side of history. Do I know that for certain? No. Can I prove that he was? Let’s research.
Understand the difference:

I know.
I can prove.
The three things which I have mentioned above are /very/ different. Let’s reiterate:
I think. - This seems like a very reasonable explanation. I have examined the data and this is the most reasonable conclusion. I have information which supports my theory.
I know. - I know that my data is right. I know that this is the correct answer. I have multiple sources and direct information. It is real; I’ve seen it myself. In the court of law, there are still arguments to be had, but they don’t truly matter. I know the truth.
I can prove. - I can unequivocally show that this is truth. The data provided is undeniable. Argument against the provided data is seen as irrational. In short, there is no doubt. e.g. I have unfalsifiable video evidence. There are no arguments to be had (exist).
These three words are very different, understand the difference.
I think Snowden did the right thing. At the end of the day, none of us were there and we only know what we are told. So, Edward, if I can pull this off, in around three years, let’s meet IRL on neutral ground where I have no authority, so extradition or any other nonsense would be impossible or internationally illegal. You were a patriot in the past, but 10+ years later are you still? I want the full story and I want to know what documents were exfiltrated and if they still exist. If everything checks out, I offer a full pardon along with the safety and security of your family.
Which begs the question, does he even want to come back?

Writing about myself is dangerous because I might reveal information which could be used to identify me. When the time is right, it won’t matter, but for now, it’s best I remain anonymous. Plus, I hate talking about myself.
So, let me tell you about my VP! Sharp, fast, brilliant, charismatic, and trustworthy is a good start. They have impeccable judgment and they often take the words right out of my mouth. Their brilliance and work-ethic is proven on a daily basis. I strive to be in the same room as them and I strive to learn from them. They are proven successful and an undeniable leader. They know how to steer a corporation and extrapolating, can easily steer an entire country.
I’ve never met someone so powerful and yet, so easy to talk to, so down to earth. They are a very rare type of person(I believe this and others have told me the same). Able to understand, command, and do the work they themselves command. If it is not obvious already, I look up to them; more than anyone I have ever met.
True power is having the option of exercising your strength and choosing not to. I know /some/ of the people that they know; I don’t know everyone. Extending that, I have no idea who my VP’s people know. Probably best I don’t. Cryptic, I know and intentional, yes.
I already made the decision before I even started the site. I knew who it should be. I know whom it needs to be. We are outsiders and we are extremely logical. We are pragmatic; we do what makes sense.
A large hurdle will be convincing them to take a risk this large. Shall they choose to accept is their choice and...I think they will.

The Internet:
The internet is the information highway which contains limitless information. Some true and some false. When it was new, people tended to say, “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.” My parents told me the same thing. This mantra seems to have vanished.
I grew up in the 90s, in the age of V-chip and Parental Controls. The internet is the wild west and it should remain as such. The internet is not a place for children. You had a child. Show some personal responsibility and take matters into your own hands if you (the parent) are that concerned. It is not Google’s, Microsoft’s, or your ISP’s job to block information which could be viewed by your child; it’s YOUR(as a parent) job to filter the information available to YOUR child. Stop being lazy; accept some personal responsibility.
Government Bills:
High praise to Massachusetts for recently passing Data Privacy bills.
The main problem with most government bills is the fact that the title of the bill does not match the text of the body... and it’s 200 pages... with a bunch of unrelated things wrapped into it. Make the title match the body of the text!
The Patriot Act - Sounds good. Stripped away your rights.
USA FREEDOM ACT - Sounds good. Stripped away your rights.
Tech:
Ring Doorbell - Police can unlawfully and easily access recordings. You are encouraging (and creating) a surveillance state by owning one
Flock Safety - Proven to be illegally accessed by law enforcement personnel.
If I am elected, any US citizen in jail/prison for the destruction of “Flock Safety” property/equipment will be immediately released.

The Base:
America’s roads an infrastructure require more than a little attention. Bridges are rusting, decrepit, and neglected. A little periodic maintenance goes a long way. I will repair existing bridges and build new ones(in more ways than one).
Roads and Interstate are weak. “Road Works” take far too long. This lengthens peoples’ commute, keeps them stuck in unnecessary traffic, wastes time, burns fuel, keeps them away from their family, and reduces productivity. Find the problem, create the plan, review the plan, consider the scrutiny, plan again, put all the pieces in place, and then execute. EXECUTE the plan.
Teachers have a rough job and it’s only getting rougher. I may not be able to solve the social difficulties, but I can pay them more to make it worth it.
ICE. I know this is a charged subject. I’d like to avoid speaking on the matter; although, I will say the following. What a WASTE of TAXPAYER dollars to go and HUNT people.
The Baseline:
Nuclear power is incredible. Jimmy Carter absolutely destroyed the path for nuclear power and the required equipment to produce U-235. Nuclear power works(case and point, France). From my memory, the most recent accident I can recall is Fukushima Daiichi. Which wasn’t a fault of nuclear power, it was a fault of a Tsunami and POOR planning(let’s put the EMERGENCY generators on the ground level/basement. You should have your license/degree/credibility revoked for such stupidity and lack of foresight.) There are also very interesting new technologies that have yet to be implemented at full-scale, such as, thorium breeder reactors. My goal is to build, to advance, to do new things, and move the human race forward.

Whenever I see a house of cards, I immediately, carefully, reinforce the foundation.
The comprehension of school age children is down. The social skills are down. ACT and SAT scores continue to decline (In general. Ignoring conversions.). I grew up in the 90s, when you wouldn’t, “Always have a calculator in your pocket.” This is different. It is definitely a combination of factors, but part of it is AI. The problem is, the people which lack critical thinking skills are the same people that rely on AI the most. Think for yourself.
There must be incentive. Teachers should have more; I will give it to them. Within the first year, ALL K-12 public school teachers will see a minimum of a 10% raise. Next, we will raise the federal minimum wage.
The federal minimum wage is $7.25... and it has been for ~20 years. What a joke.

I understand that basically no American is being paid federal minimum wage. I do not intend to raise it to an incommensurate level. The fact of the matter is that it will be raised significantly, it’s more symbolic than anything. The floor must be raised.

I am the bridge; I want to bring people together. This division... is irrational. We will not win if we do not work together. Which begs the question, why are we divided? We all want the same thing. Why do we fight?

To be clear, this is not some “Bright Idea” that I just recently had. I’ve been thinking about doing this for at least 5+ years and probably closer to 10. The clock is ticking, the window is closing, and the time is now.
Honestly, it’s funny, because the pieces just keep falling in place. I was looking for a way to write messages for the world to see and to KNOW that they were coming from me. I wanted them to be immutable. What was said, was said, and it is un-editable. Then it happened. Then I met people. People that could actually make this happen, over and over again. The pieces just kept aligning out of nowhere.
Have you ever read a news article only to tell someone about it… and then show them? You pull it back up. The news article you read a few hours ago doesn’t match what you initially remember. You are not crazy; it’s been changed. With NO indication that it HAS been changed. I (and I think everyone) am fed up with the nonsense news cycle and the constant editing of stories, with absolutely no indication that details have been altered. Which is why I am doing things the way I am doing them. You have proof; the world has proof. Alterations cannot be made. I hold my word and you all have immutable evidence of my word.

It is time. It's time we have a president that has their finger on the pulse. It's time we have a president that is in touch with reality.
